Executive Committee

Executive Committee (EC) of the organization is formed of consisting of 7 members out of total general members of the organization takes place through Annual General Assembly. The term of the EC is 4 years. The EC members are trustees of the organization who act on behalf of the organization’s constituents. The EC has the primary responsibility for fulfillment of the organization’s vision and the legal accountability for its operations. Following are the major role of the executive committee;

• establishing a clear organizational vision,
• forming the strategic plan to accomplish the visison,
• overseeing and evaluating the plan’s success,
• hiring a competent Executive Director and
• providing adequate supervision and support to that individual,
• ensuring financial solvency of the organization,
• interpreting and representing the community to the organization, and
• Instituting a fair system of policies and procedures for human resource management.

Executive Committee meets at least 3 times in a year. It believes a basic principle of good governance is that management and governance are separate. Separation makes checks and balances possible which ensures the organization is well run and important decisions are made with the public interest. Therefore, they conduct regular monitoring and supervision of the projects/programmes in the organization.
